Gerard Callaghan is a senior financial services executive with more than 30 years of experience spanning banking, capital markets, and investment management. At C&A Consulting, he leads the Capital Markets and Banking Operations practice, bringing deep operational, technological, and risk-management expertise to clients across global financial institutions.

 

Throughout his career, Mr. Callaghan has earned a reputation for identifying risks early, driving operational excellence, and successfully launching and scaling new business ventures. His leadership reflects a strong balance of analytical discipline and hands-on execution, a combination that consistently delivers measurable performance improvements and control enhancements.

Experience & Leadership

Mr. Callaghan has held senior executive positions across leading global banks and investment firms, including Citigroup, Bankers Trust Company / Deutsche Bank, U.S. Trust Company and Bank of America, where he managed critical operations and technology platforms supporting complex capital-markets and banking activities.

 

Across these roles, he has successfully implemented process-improvement programs, enhanced risk analytics and governance models, and optimized end-to-end securities-processing and trade-support functions.

 

At U.S. Trust, he was a member of the firm’s Management Committee and has also served on many industry committees.
